Our Journey
20 years in the making.
2002
‘Loosekid Industries’
We began our journey in 2002 as ‘Loosekid Industries’, built off the high school nickname of our founder from his days riding BMX. Loosekid had an obsession with motocross culture. Through motocross events acting as a ’ground zero’, our logo began showing up more and more across Australia, on stickers, hats and tees. We learnt the value of community early here - what started from a bedroom in the family home and a shipping container in the backyard, grew quickly because of the community we created.

2020
OUR GLOBAL HQ BREAKS GROUND
After nearly 10 years at our Christensen road office, our small team wasn’t so small anymore. We were packing and sending orders out to the community from 3 different warehouses because we ran out of room for product, and soon after, we ran out of room for people too.
In 2020 we broke ground on our new LSKD HQ in Logan, QLD which had always been home for the brand. The dirt pile of the empty lot that was the site of our new office and warehouse, used to be a favourite spot for our founder to burn around with his mates on their dirt bikes when they were kids. In 2020 we found our feet, found our ‘why’ and together as a team built our 6 values and our mission ‘To Inspire Our Community To Be 1% Better Every Day’.
2022
OUR EXPANSION INTO RETAIL
In 2022 we took all our learnings from the past 20 years; from the community we built from day one at motocross events, the rejection at meetings with retailers, the uncertainty of where we were going and why - and we put it all into our next chapter, LSKD retail stores.
It wasn’t enough for our community to see and read about our product, mission and values on their phone screens and computers, we wanted them to be face to face and skin to fabric. Our obsession with fabric, fit and function had butterflied into an obsession with self-improvement and becoming 1% Better Every Day. As we built more stores, more touchpoints with our community, we saw this mission resonate - and we were in.

Our team wanted to share a little more about our Founder & CEO Jason Daniel, his story and how important our mission is to not only himself but our entire team here at LSKD.
From working as a Carpenter just over 10 years ago, Jason has taken his passion for fitness, action sports and adventure with him on a journey to grow an international street and sportswear brand that inspires others to chase the vibe.
Always finding comfort in being uncomfortable, Jason has imprinted his love for pushing his own limits onto LSKD's mission and purpose as a global brand.
It’s been a long journey, asking plenty of questions along the way and it doesn’t stop here. We’re going to keep grinding and keep making the best possible product for our community and how they chase the vibe.
With a background in motocross and a passion for performance-driven apparel, Jason built LSKD from the ground up, evolving it into a globally recognized brand known for its community-driven culture, product innovation and commitment to 1% better every day. His commitment to continuous learning, strong leadership, and unwavering values drives LSKD’s mission and shapes its impact on the community.
Born from a legacy of motocross, BMX, and water sports in Logan, Australia, our journey began with a deep-rooted passion for extreme adventure. While we proudly maintain our HQ in Logan, the energy and commitment that started it all has resonated far beyond our local streets—sparking a vibrant, global community that continues to expand every day.
From shipping containers and bedroom shelves to a 5,000sqm+ HQ complete with a warehouse, dynamic office space, gym, studio, R&D lab and retail store - this is a run through of all the places we’ve called home since our earliest beginnings in 2002.

2007
LKI
MOVING FAST. BREAKING SH*T.
Loosekid Industries became LKI in 2007. Motocross was still our thing, but water sports and streetwear started to pop-up in our catalogues we’d show to retailers each season - we made it all - from life-jackets and gloves to keychains and boardshorts. Our mantra was; ‘Live Your Lifestyle’.
Our community had their individuality and interests and we wanted to meet them there, but we hadn’t found our focus yet.
2018
LSKD
We swapped LKI for LSKD in 2018 and our mantra became ‘Chase The Vibe’. Still the same Loosekids from a decade-and-a-half ago, we had grown up (a little bit) and discovered a new love; community fitness.
We stopped asking retailers to buy our designs and went straight to the community that had been at the centre of what we did from the beginning. We jumped into an obsession with fabric and fit with our new focus on functional fitness apparel.
In September 2018, we changed from LKI to LSKD, and flipped the whole company on its head.

It’s official; we’ve changed our mission… In 2020 we created our six core values, with one of those being 1% better every day. As the years progressed, every single decision we’ve made, we’ve asked ourselves, how can we inspire our community to be 1% better every day?
In 2023 we have decided to make this natural shift from chase the vibe to 1% better every day. The change has felt so organic and has just been so inspiring, not only for our team, but to inspire our community to create something bigger than ourselves.

Run Faster For Longer: Top Training Tips

Want to run faster for longer and be 1% better every day? Well, here is our top tips to do so!
- 15 min warmup
- 4 mins fast
- 45 sec static rest
- 3 mins fast
- 2 mins fast
- 1 min fast
- Work back up the ladder
- 10 min cool down
Whilst your longer runs are excellent for increasing your stamina and endurance, incorporating interval training will help you become faster. Interval training involves alternating short bursts of intense effort with periods of rest, with an aim to push yourself beyond your comfort zone to improve your speed.
There is only so much you can do to motivate yourself when you run alone, so it’s always a good idea to find a training buddy or a run club to train with.
Consistency is key when it comes to running faster for longer. Remember that everything takes time, and you might not see the results you wanted as fast as you predicted. Start out slow and focus on gradual improvements over time. Make a commitment with yourself to be 1% better every day and complete those miles even when you aren’t feeling motivated because "you learn more about yourself on a bad day, than you do on a good one” - LSKD Athlete Caitlin Banner. Those efforts will pay off in the long term.
